This festive season, while many of us are enjoying time with friends and family, thousands of LGBTQ+ young people find themselves alone and rejected. Kicked out by their families just for being who they are, they have nowhere to turn but the streets.

akt is the only national charity specialising in LGBTQ+ youth homelessness. Our expert team of caseworkers help young people in crisis. In the 35 years since we were founded, we have helped hundreds of thousands of young people to start brighter futures.

We are already experiencing an unprecedented high demand for emergency support and there are many months of winter left to go. The stark reality is that we cannot reach all of the young people who need us without you. Even one young person suffering in the cold this winter is one too many.
