akt are proud to have worked with Morrisons across a number of campaigns in the past, including for Pride, Valentines Day and Christmas!

In 2023, Morrisons very generously donated more than £37,000 to our charity, allowing us to continue our work to support LGBTQ+ young people at risk of homelessness.

This year, Morrisons will be donating profits from their pride range, which includes a clothing range, and various pride branded food products, to akt.

At akt, we understand the importance of companies extending their allyship across pride month and beyond. We recognise that Morrisons have strong values in regard to diversity and inclusion values, striving to support their LBGT+ colleagues, customers and communities all year round.

Morrisons currently have and LGBTQ+ network within their company, which sets out to spend time listening to LGBT+ colleagues to understand the challenges they face, review internal policies and ways of working to make sure they work  for LGBT+ colleagues and to share meaningful stories with colleagues and customers at key times throughout the year, including during  LGBT History Month and Trans Day of Visibility.

Morrisons genuine intent to raise awareness and educate communities aligns so well with the values and mission of akt. To be there for the LGBTQ+ youth who need us the most. To be seen, to feel valued but also to have a safe place to call home.
